About Us

A little background:

  • William F. Burke, C.A.I. – A.A.R.E. Auctioneer began his real estate career in 1988 liquidating hard to sell resort property for a developer who had purchased a foreclosure with 1,100 unsold lots.
  • In 1994 he sold his first property on the Internet long before most people had begun using e-mail.
  • In 1998 he founded the first B2B Internet auction company www.liquidation.com then raised over $14 million in venture capital during the dot-com bubble.
  • In 2000 he signed the largest auction contract in history to sell all US military surplus on an exclusive basis at internet auction.
  • August of 2001 he founded Pax Auctions with the goal of changing the way real estate is sold in America and every property auctioned has both live & Internet bidding.
  • 2003 He earned the prestigious Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate designation from the Auction Marketing Institute joining the most elite group in the real estate undustry.
  • 2004 he was became a member of the Certified Auctioneers Institute, CAI a 3- year post graduate program for auctioneers at Indiana University becoming the first “pure play dot-commer” to earn the most prestigious and highly coveted designations in the auction industry.
